Psi Mu Omega Collaborative Service Opportunity - June 15, 2024
Good Evening Sorors:
I hope this post finds you in great spirits. We had an amazing weekend welcoming our new Sorors. But, as we all know, the work of Alpha Kappa Alpha, specifically the Psi Mu Omega Chapter continues. In the chapter's weekly correspondence sent out on June 4, 2024, a collaborative event between Psi Mu Omega (Uplift our Local Community committee) and the Zeta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and House of Hope Church was announced. We will collaborate by participating in painting various rooms in the home of the residents (homeless women & children), planting flowers, and hosting outdoor celebratory games, snow cones, popcorn and a food truck. The event will take place on June 15, 2024. Sorors are welcome to stay the entire time, or participate in the following two (2) shifts:
8:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. (painting and planting flowers) and/or
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (support & participating in the above outdoor activities).
I will be present at the first shift and Soror Donna will be present at the second shift. I realize this may not be possible for everyone but those of us who can serve, please complete the google form below so we can have a accurate headcount of who will be joining us.
